Lone Sol is my 3rd team project with a large quantity of people from various disciplines in university and can be played here!
Development spanned around 9 months starting during september 2022 ending on may 2023.
I was 1 of 2 programmers in this project and used Unreal Engine 5. I used Unreal Blueprints (Visual scripting system) and introduced many features into this project, more notably the player controller and the companion controller.
During the course of development, I was assigned to work on the player controller and the AI of the companion. This meant handling the locomotion e.g. gliding with stamina and handling the logic to position the companion based on player input.
In addition I implemented the puzzle mechanics in this project such as the air vent puzzle which would allow the player to reach higher elevations by making the companion turn on a generator.
